Plataforma NNAPEs, the Latin American and the Caribbean Network for Children with Incarcerated Parents, announces the launch of the animated children’s series titled “Abrazos” (or, “hugs”), featuring the voices of children with incarcerated parents. These are the first Spanish-language children’s videos to feature the voices and experiences of children with incarcerated parents. The videos were presented regionally through a a live online event in November 2022 that included the participation of some of the youth that participated in the process.
The videos were produced jointly with the National Argentinean Public Channel for Children, Pakapaka and the creative company, Inauta. The project received support from Open Society Foundations and the CWS regional office for Latin America and the Caribbean.
