INCCIP 2021 Keynote Headliner Announced
Professor Ann Skelton, South Africa to Open the INCCIP 2021 Conference:
This year the United States serves as the host country and will broadcast the INCCIP 2021 conference virtually from Washington, D.C. amid the 10th Anniversary of the United Nations’ Committee on the Rights of the Child [UNCRC] Day of General Discussion on Children of Incarcerated Parents. Headliner, Dr. Professor Ann Skelton, The General Assembly of the United Nations member of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, will kick off the conference on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
Brief Bio
Ann Skelton is a Professor in the Department of Private Law and the holder of the UNESCO Chair: Education Law in Africa. She holds the degrees BA LLB (UKZN) LLD (Pret). Her doctoral thesis title was ‘The influence of the theory and practice of restorative justice in South Africa’s with special reference to child justice’. She holds a B1 NRF rating and is a member of the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf). She is admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa.
